Mill Hill Synagogue held a Yom Hashoah evening on Wednesday 15th April and had the honour of
Holocaust Survivor Solly Irving speak to the audience about his experiences being the sole member
of his family to survive the Nazi concentration camps.
Youth from our community adequately took part by reading selected poems, blowing the shofar to
mark a 1 minute silence and speaking about their experiences having just returned from a trip
to Poland.
Each year to commemorate the holocaust our wish is to get more and more youth involved
to “ Keep the Legacy Alive.”
